Benchmark Traditional Dry Baths
Benchmark Digital Dry Baths provide accurate “set and walk away” digital temperature selection, eliminating the need for external thermometers and repetitive “fine tuning” of a temperature control knob. Simply enter the desired temperature on the digital touchpad and the Benchmark Dry Bath provides accurate temperature with real time monitoring that continuously maintains the selected temperature within ±0.2°C. In addition, a digital timer is built into the touchpad display. Although it is not designed to shut off the heater, it can be used to alert the user that a chosen time interval has timed out.
The cavities of the high grade aluminum blocks are precision machined to match the conical size and shape of 0.5, 1.5, 2.0, 15 and 50ml tube sizes, providing unsurpassed temperature transfer. Assorted blocks are available for compatibility with nearly all common laboratory tubes and plates. Custom blocks are also available upon request.
All Benchmark dry baths offer a built-in user recalibration function, to guarantee long term temperature accuracy. Each dry bath includes an easy to use block lifter, with a temperature insulated handle for quick, convenient exchange of blocks, even while they’re still hot.

Benchmark’s myBlock series is a “next generation” product line that introduces several major advantages over traditional dry baths. They are the first digital dry baths to include advanced microprocessor controls, timed or continuous operation and a removable hinged lid. In addition, an optional external temperature feedback probe can be positioned directly inside a sample tube, providing real-time control and monitoring of actual sample temperature.
The myBlock’s transparent lid helps to promote better uniformity and minimize temperature stratification in the block by maintaining a warm air jacket layer. It also helps to reduce energy consumption by minimizing heat loss to the environment. The hinged lid can be flipped open (to the rear), or easily removed (lifted off) to accommodate taller tubes.

IsoBlock™ Digital Dry Bath, without blocks
Benchmark’s new IsoBlock dry bath is ideal for incubation of samplesat two different temperatures, in a single compact unit. The two chambers are separated by an insulated wall and are controlled independently, allowing IsoBlock to serve as two dry baths in one. The hinged (and removable) lid is also designed with a dividing wall. When closed, this dividing wall acts as a barrier, preventing air transferbetween chambers.
The control panel features large digital displays of both time and temperature. Both settings of a block can be adjusted at any point, without affecting the settings of the other block. The timer function is non-mandatory; IsoBlock can be used for continuous heating.

MultiTherm Shaker
The MultiTherm shaker is a temperature controlled vortexer, useful for a variety of molecular biology applications. Despite its modest 8 x 11 in. footprint, all popular tubes and plates are compatible, including as many as six 50 ml tubes. Speed, time and temperature settings are continuously visible on the LCD, simultaneously showing both actual and selected values.
